Terms of Use

Last updated: 8 July 2026

Use of notamet.com implies full acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. Nature of the service

NOTAMET is a private, independent technical platform that restructures public information from official aeronautical information sources: ENAIRE (Spain), DGAC Chile, Eurocontrol EAD, NOAA/NWS Aviation Weather Center and other official sources. NOTAMET is not an aeronautical authority and does not issue documents with official legal force.

NOTAMET re-uses public information under Spanish Law 37/2007 on the re-use of public sector information. It is not affiliated with, or officially linked to, any aeronautical body.

2. Permitted use

  • Personal or professional consultation of NOTAMs, METAR, TAF and SIGMET by operating area.
  • Generation of pre-flight briefings and compliance PDFs with SHA-256 traceability.
  • Configuration of alerts for changes in weather conditions or NOTAMs.
  • Historical archive of briefings for internal audits.
  • Use of the E6B calculator for navigation computations.

3. Prohibited use

  • Mass or automated scraping beyond the service limits.
  • Resale or redistribution of the data presented as an "official source".
  • Use of the platform as the sole means of official compliance, without verifying against primary aeronautical sources.
  • Any attempt to exploit vulnerabilities, circumvent limitations or degrade the service.
  • Sharing access credentials between users.
  • Use of the service for unlawful purposes or purposes contrary to the legal system.

4. Limitation of liability

Aeronautical information can change without notice. NOTAMET is provided "as is", with no guarantee of completeness, accuracy or continuous availability. For any actual flight operation, official compliance procedure or regulatory filing, ALWAYS consult the official source: ENAIRE AIS (ais.enaire.es), DGAC Chile (aipchile.dgac.gob.cl), Eurocontrol EAD, NOAA/NWS AWC (aviationweather.gov), or the competent aeronautical authority.

The data comes from official sources but may contain errors or omissions originating in those sources. You are responsible for verifying the information before making operational decisions based on it. NOTAMET is a decision-support tool, not a replacement for official briefing procedures.

If NOTAMET and the official source disagree, the official source always prevails.

5. Traceability and disclaimer regarding sources

Every NOTAM, METAR, TAF or SIGMET obtained by NOTAMET carries traceability metadata:

  • source_id: identifier of the official body (ENAIRE-INSIGNIA, DGAC-Chile, NOAA-AWC, Eurocontrol-EAD).
  • source_url: exact query endpoint.
  • fetch_ts: UTC ISO-8601 timestamp of retrieval.
  • raw_hash: SHA-256 hash of the raw content returned by the source.

This traceability allows any datum to be verified against the original source. Compliance PDFs include the corresponding SHA-256 hash. However, responsibility for the accuracy, timeliness and availability of the data rests exclusively with the official body that publishes it. NOTAMET cannot guarantee that information obtained from an official source is free of errors, since such errors are inherent to the source and outside NOTAMET's control.

If the official source corrects or removes information, NOTAMET updates its reflection at the next scheduled query. The archived history preserves the traceability of the original state for audit purposes.

6. Intellectual property

The source code, design, editorial texts and the "NOTAMET" mark are the property of the owner. Data derived from public aeronautical sources is published under CC BY 4.0. The trademarks of third-party bodies cited (ENAIRE, DGAC, Eurocontrol, NOAA) belong to their respective owners.
